Meet Dan Moore – English Department Intern

Where were you this time last year?
I was a senior at Dartmouth College, completing my English major and working as part of the Teacher Education Program.
Why HHS?
My certification program placed me at Hanover, and I’m so glad that they did. Mr. Bourne’s reputation as a great English teacher made him an ideal mentor for me.
What would you like students to know about you?
Five years after graduating high school, I remember all the things I loved about it and the things I didn’t. I try to let these memories inform what I do in the classroom. I like to keep things fun, but meaningful.
What are your first impressions of HHS?
I’m loving it here. The biggest factor for me is that students and teachers really enjoy being here during the day. I look forward to each day because others seem to be doing the same.
What is your favorite extracurricular activity?
I’m a big basketball fan. I love following NBA/college, and I have a nice collection of 90’s throwback jerseys.
