Song Suggestions From My 20+ Hour Spotify Playlist

Music plays a big role in a lot of people’s lives, whether it’s a passion of theirs, they play instruments as a hobby, or simply enjoy jamming out in their bedroom where the world can’t see them. That’s what I do. Sometimes all I need to get through a long day is to get off my computer and my phone, connect my earbuds, turn up the volume, and press play on my crazy playlist. I pride myself on the length of my playlist. With 391 songs and 5 episodes, it would take 22 hours and 31 minutes to get through the whole thing. There, I have songs for almost every feeling and occasion.

Have you ever felt trapped in your mind, just down on yourself, and you wish you could have something to relate that feeling to? Well, I find songs such as “Mind Is A Prison” by Alec Benjamin, “Gasoline” by Hasley, and “My Head & My Heart” by Ava Max to be songs I can listen to when I am not feeling so great. There are some feelings that positivity can’t fix, so sometimes it’s helpful to listen to something relatable, to show that you are not alone in your feelings.

What about a need for motivation, a feeling that you are enough, that you are amazing? Try out songs such as “Good As Hell” by Lizzo, “Nightmare” by Halsey, “Unstoppable” by Sia, and “Perfect To Me” by Anne-Marie. Sometimes you just need to stand up and say that you are great, that you are an unstoppable force that can accomplish anything, that you are a force of nature that won’t let anyone control them, or even that you are flawed, yet you love yourself the way that you are.

When I am studying, I honestly enjoy a cute love song as my background music over orchestral pieces. As I am writing this article, I am listening to “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur. I also enjoy the fun, young-sounding love of “I Do Adore” by Mindy Gledhill. “Bright” by Ecosmith is also a huge hit of mine. They make me feel peaceful and less tired, and therefore I find that I can focus on my work better.

Lastly, sometimes you just want to listen to something fast, loud, and a bit edgy, I completely understand that. I managed to have some pop-rap and some emo-pop here and there, and it definitely does the trick. Plus, I find it the easiest to full-out jam to. “Do Re Mi” by Blackbear is a brutal song, but honestly a huge bop. “Alone Together”, “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark”, and “Just One Yesterday” are some of my favorite Fall Out Boy songs. Most of their songs are amazing in general. If you want something rather violent, a song written for the first Suicide Squad movie called “Sucker For Pain”, which features Lil Wayne, Imagine Dragons, X Ambassadors, Wiz Khalifa, Logic, and Ty Dolla $ign is definitely a favorite.

Well, that’s all my suggestions for now. Thanks for reading and happy listening, if you give any of these songs a try.
