My son and his wife are in “the industry,” and they each worked on a recently released movie playing in Lebanon now.
David Bernat (HHS 1996) was the Production Coordinator on EASY A, which opened SEPTEMBER 17, 2010. It stars Emma Stone as a high school girl whose reputation is ruined through the rumor mill. She decides to make the most of he new “popularity,” but she loses control quickly. Also starring Penn Badgley, Amanda Bynes, Thomas Haden Church, Cam Gigandet, Patricia Clarkson, and Stanley Tucci. Very funny. Very well cast.
His wife, Lori Beth Bernat is the Executive Assistant to director, Andy Fickman (SHE’S THE MAN, THE GAME PLAN, RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN). Their movie YOU AGAIN, opened SEPTEMBER 24, 2010. It stars Kristen Bell as a young woman who wants to break up her brother’s impending marriage to the girl who bullied her through high school (Odette Yustman). Also starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver, and Betty White. Important topic handled skillfully with lots of physical humor. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1414382/
