Pen of Iron Contest

The HHS Club Pen of Iron culminated its photo response contest last November. The winner, Jean-Luc Beaubien, received a $20 Co-op gift card. The contest was based on
 a photo taken of a young Buddhist monk giving the camera a mistrustful stare. Carter
Lacrosse, the Chief Editor, took the photo when on a summer trip to India. Initially,
there were very few submissions to the contest, but as the end of the November deadline
approached, the student body ramped up contest submissions. Liz Haas took second
place.

The previous contest, a raffle, was held earlier this year, the first prize going to Brett
Morrison who took home an iPad Bluetooth keyboard. Pen of Iron will continue to offer
new contests and raffles, with the next contest planned for around January.
