Swim Team Undefeated
Hanover Swimming is undefeated so far and is heading into the championship season very strong. So far the team has met against eight other schools at four different meets continuously beating them in multiple events. At the most recent meet on last Friday, Hanover won 14 out of the 22 events and had swimmers rank in the top three in every event. Four team records were set on Friday; Katie Amen in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:12.77, Kristian Hansen in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:52.26, Atticus Kangas in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:02.37, and a relay record was set by Kristian Hansen, Atticus Kangas, Brendan Forauer, and Connor Barr in the 400 Freestyle relay. Kristian Hansen also set a pool record at Colby Sawyer College with his 200 Freestyle. The team has two normal meets left, Friday the 30th and Wednesday February 4th. Then the team will be participating in New Hampshire Division II championships on February 14th. With over 20 swimmers qualified for states Hanover will have their largest swimming representation since the start of the team.
